The email marketing programs Alessandra implemented at JibJab resonated greatly with the subcommittee members. Alessandra was chosen for her success and excellence in technical innovation, list management and creative execution in email marketing, leading to continued increases in revenue.

Alessandra has championed/expanded the use of PIE (Personalized Image Engine), video and responsive design in her email programs; thereby, dramatically increasing click to open rates and downstream revenue. Through October, Alessandra’s efforts in email have generated a 151% increase in volume – going from 115 million emails delivered for the same period in 2013 to over 287 million so far this year – All the while, maintaining a consistent year over year open rate and actually lowering the attrition rate by 31%.

Additionally, Alessandra’s personal characteristics are in the spirit of Stefan Pollard. She was recognized for being extremely knowledgeable in this space, yet willing to always try something new both for the good of the consumer and the business. This is consistent with the spirit and philosophy of Stefan Pollard, who the award was named after.

With her leadership, SeaWorld Entertainment transformed a sleepy channel into a leading, revenue generating platform.

Terrilyn Tourangeau, Sr. Director, Marriott Rewards
Terrilyn has been with Marriott’s email program since its inception, leading the evolution of this progressive marketing channel. Terrilyn has boosted metrics across the board: real time messages garner 50-60% open rates on average, CTRs up to 30%, and conversion rates and revenue per email in the double digits.
